Education-use posture
For school and program pilots, WeldGrade treats student data as education-use data. Student submissions, weld photos, class membership, instructor reviews, and performance records are used to provide the WeldGrade service and support instructor review.
WeldGrade is designed to support school pilot privacy expectations. WeldGrade does not claim to be a certified compliance service for FERPA, COPPA, HIPAA, or similar programs.
What WeldGrade does not do
- WeldGrade does not sell student data.
- WeldGrade does not use student data for targeted advertising.
- WeldGrade does not use identifiable school pilot or student data for AI training unless the institution separately opts in in writing.
Deletion, export, and end-of-pilot
Schools and programs may request deletion or export of records at the end of a pilot. Users and institutions may request access, correction, export, or deletion of applicable records by contacting info@weldgrade.com.
Data-protection addendum
WeldGrade will provide a simple data-protection addendum on request for pilot programs.
